Blas Rodriguez’s three months at THINK – Greatest experience of my life
Attending an accelerator means you have a goal you want to fulfill. No matter what this goal may be, your goal will most likely differ from what the other startups are aiming for.
What you will have in common with the other startups is that you want to grow and learn, in extent accelerate your business. This yearning for growth and learning is what connects you with the other startups, and a community is created out of it. It is often something unexpected, but may very well be one of the most important things you will take with you from the accelerator.
Blas Rodrigues, co-founder of Atakama*, attended the program last fall and he has written a post about his awesome journey at THINK. Blas had already been working on the startup for a couple of months, but it did not have a clear vision.
What he realized was that, to us at THINK, this was not as important as the commitment to the accelerator as well as the potential of the startup. After convincing one of the other co-founders to take a leap of faith with him, they packed and were on their way to Helsingborg in Sweden.
“Going every day to a fabulous office at Mindpark and seeing all these energetic entrepreneurs with their super good ideas and challenging problems to solve is more than a source of inspiration to become greater every day.”
One important thing that struck Blas was how quickly a community was created amongst the group of entrepreneurs, as a source of constant help and feedback.
While you get help with what you are struggling with, you at the same time gain insight into what the other startups need help with. You get inspired by these challenges as well as the ideas of the other entrepreneurs, which makes you grow together with the group.
“If you’re working on an idea and you need a boost, my greatest advice would be to consider applying at THINK. I truly hope that your experience can be like mine: perfect.”
