Motiomera – Making a healthier world

How has the journey with THINK been so far?

We have evolved a lot as a team and our product. We have during the month re-evaluated how we can deliver the most value to our customers, and how to communicate that as good as possible.

The 3 biggest learnings you will take with you from the program?

We had a deep teambuilding session that was important for us, that we would not have had otherwise.
We got helpful insights into the legal side of our product, especially with the ner GDPR rules.
We got an intro to potential customers that we would not have gotten otherwise

What makes you a great team?

We have a different background – from different countries, different cultures and different expertise. But we all care for how we as a team work, and we all focus on giving as much value as efficiently as possible. Making our customers happy is central to all of us.

Demo Day is coming up soon, exciting! What is your vision for the future?

We are focusing on the early trials with customers now, and talking to the right investors. We are super excited that each potential customer we talk to at the moment really gets our product and loves what we are doing, even tho it is fairly complicated.

About Motiomera:

InSajt – Making decisions easy

How has the journey with THINK been so far?

It has been fantastic! I had high expectations and I think the program has delivered more than I was hoping for! Competent mentors and a thriving working and social climate have been key I believe.

The 3 biggest learnings you will take with you from the program?

– Focus on customers
– Don’t be afraid to talk to other people and ask for help.
– It is not that hard if you commit yourself.

What makes you a great team?

The friendship and the collaboration are the key things in our group. We all have individual experiences and that’s great but without being able to be super comfortable and be able to be ourselves, this would be a lot harder.

Demo Day is coming up soon, exciting! What is your vision for the future?

We will be going as often to THINK as long as we have office space. After that, we will rent office space. The most important think to keep our momentum is that we all have a common place to work from.

About inSajt:

InSajt is a company that gives store owners data-driven insight into their businesses. Providing a free and automated solution for analysing trends, patterns and behaviours to all store owners.

Flugtube – Making multi-destination travel simple!

How has the journey with THINK been so far?

In a word, fantastic.
It has given us a platform to focus all our energy on to smaller specific tasks. Think has also provided us with the framework to achieve those tasks.
Despite always having lots of energy for our project, while at Think we have become much more efficient.

The 3 biggest learnings you will take with you from the program?

1) The importance of customer development. Now we are ensuring that we are adapting our build to provide what our customers actually want.
2) Don’t be afraid to ask for help, whatever it may be.
3) Always try to learn from those around you, there are some really smart people.

What makes you a great team?

We all know what tasks we should be focusing on, this gives us distinct roles and individual targets to hit. On balance, we are always happy to ask each other for help on a particular task if its needed. Then at the end of the week, we can all celebrate the small achievements together.
We don’t have egos, we wouldn’t be a team if we didn’t have different strengths. We are quite happy to admit that our teammates are much better suited for certain objectives, however, this does not mean that are core competencies aren’t inline with one another.

Importantly, the team as a whole are big dreamers, and while we understand the importance of taking small steps, our end goal is shared.

Demo Day is coming up soon, exciting! What is your vision for the future?

Our next major milestone is to start our paid marketing campaign, we have been gearing up for it for a while and are just finalising a few things with the product which aren’t quite at a level we want them to be yet.
This will take us from essentially being at an MVP stage to a fully fledged business, for the time being, we will focus on this, and it will be perfectly suited to attract the travellers for next summer.
We will establish ourselves in Sweden and the UK for the next 12 months to collect our own data on travel habits and then look to expand into other European markets.
We also have some partnerships lined up that flugtube will provide the travel package to, this will give our brand a lot of good exposure, allowing us to expand leveraging our good will on top of capital input.

About Flugtube:

Flugtube is a web-based platform poised to bridge the gap between premium and self-service travel booking and itinerary creation.

Our customers have the freedom to create any trip regardless of its complexity without worrying about working out any of the logistics.

Flugtube removes the need for an expensive travel agent fee and saves time for our user.

As we like to say, simplifying multi-destination travel.

1UP – Capture, create and compete

How has the journey with THINK been so far?

Being part of Think has been excellent experience so far. It’s provided us with a lot more structure and a real confidence that we are now applying our focus in the right areas. It’s also been great to be part of a team of startups with similar challenges where everyone is open to sharing.

The 3 biggest learnings you will take with you from the program?

Speaking with customers a lot and really testing their interest by making them commit to something.
Setting regular goals and most importantly having the retrospective at the end of the period to hold yourself to account.
Negotiation workshop was very useful, gave us a structure on how to approach any conversation with potential customers/suppliers and generally how to reach great outcomes.

What makes you a great team?

We are hard working, constantly engaged and very focused.
We love to learn and are taking everything we can out of the Think program and applying it where we can to our startup.

You++ is comprised of a Dutch and German duo who met while studying entrepreneurship at Lund University. The team has been active in the startup scene during their short time in Sweden, from being a part of Venture Lab in Lund to THINK Accelerate.

You++ is a web-based education platform for kids aged 9 to 14. The platform enables learning to program code through interactive, self-paced coding courses. Unlike other coding platforms, You++ isn’t looking for programming to have its own spot in the curriculum, rather they want to integrate programming skills into the content from core curriculum subjects like Math, Science and English.

Why should schools use coding or programming as a means to teach core curriculum subjects? Today, students working on a math assignment often complete the assignment, hand it in to the teacher and the next day, or several days later, they learn how they performed. With You++, students get an immediate feedback loop, that helps them correct their mistakes and learn on the spot, rather than a few days later when the assignment is no longer relevant.

You++ helps kids learn at their own pace, and also prepares them for a future where technological jobs will be one of the primary employment areas in high-skill based countries like Sweden.

Come check out You++ at our Demo Day on November 26 at Oxhallen in Helsingborg. The event is free and open to everyone.

Meet Radikalisering: Upptäck och Förebygg!

Andreas Ring is an expert in the prevention of violent extremism and radicalization. He spent 10 years on the police force, both on the streets and training other police officers in preventative measures.

Late last year, Andreas left the police in order to pursue his dream of being an entrepreneur, but he did not leave behind his police training. Instead, Andreas took what he learned during his time as an officer and built Radikalisering: Upptäck och förebygg, a company dedicated to preventing violent extremism and radicalization amongst youth.

How does he do this? Andreas has built a hybrid consulting/digital business, where half his time is spent leading in-person workshops and seminars on the subject, while the other half is focused on building a scalable online education program to reach more people. Radikalisering: Upptäck och Förebygg’s clients are primarily educational institutions and municipalities; they bring in Andreas to help social workers, teachers and other people who work with you to understand the signs of someone becoming radicalized.

Through his entrepreneurial endeavors, Andreas Ring wants to make society a better, safer place for all.

If you want to learn more about Radikalisering: Upptäck och Förebygg and have the chance to meet Andreas Ring, consider attending THINK Accelerate’s Demo Day on June 25, 2015 from 16:00-19:00. Tickets are available here.

Meet Recualizer!

Recualizer logo

A few weeks ago, THINK had the chance to speak with a large multinational corporation that has one of the most valuable brands in the world. The topic of conversation: recruitment.

What we learned was that for any one job posting they receive anywhere between 50 to 3,000 applications. If you think that’s hard to believe, imagine that they also read through every single resume and cover letter submitted, all three thousand of them. One can barely conceive the extraordinary time, manpower and cost associated with hiring for just one position, now imagine hiring 10 to 20 new employees per month.

It will come to no surprise to you that finding the perfect candidate for this company, and many others like it, is like finding a needle in a haystack. That is where Recualizer comes in, they love haystacks and they are incredibly good at finding needles!

Recualizer is an intelligent pre-screening tool for recruiters that dramatically reduces the time commitment, demand on human resources and funds needed to successfully go through the hiring process. Using the Recualizer system, recruiters are no longer forced to read through hundreds of applications because they receive the candidates sorted, analyzed and ranked by best possible match.

So, how does it work? Recruiters simply input the job requirements into Recualizer and the system intelligently generates a set of competence-testing tasks that measures the candidates’ actual know-how and fit within the company. The tasks generated easily integrate into the job posting via URL, meaning that recruiters have no need to change their current hiring process. Once completed, HR has a holistic view of the candidates, how they rank and whether or not they’re a fit.

At the end of the day, after all is said and done, the Recualizer team’s mission is simply to help people find the place where they belong.

If you want to learn more about Recualizer and have the chance to meet Aika and Arman, consider attending THINK Accelerate’s Demo Day on June 25, 2015 from 16:00-19:00. Tickets are available here.

Meet Ligti!

Ligti LogoDaniel Petersson is a hardware guy, in fact, he has spent the past 25 years taking apart and building computers. One day last year, a friend of Daniel’s mentioned to him how difficult and expensive it was to acquire multi-screen video walls, like those you often see in airports or company headquarters.

The builder that he is, Daniel jumped into action, learning the ins and outs of video walls; who uses them, how, who sells them and most importantly, how do they work. Daniel learned that every screen in a multi-screen video wall currently uses one computer to run it, which means if you have a 24 screen video wall you need 24 computers to operate it.

The costs associated with purchasing or renting such video walls are prohibitive to most, so Daniel found a solution and he called it Ligti. With Ligti’s solution, company headquarters, train stations, airports, malls and more can have a video wall with up to 24 screens running on one super computer.

Daniel’s invention not only dramatically reduces the costs of acquiring a video wall; it is environmentally friendly and lasts longer, with less maintenance. Ligti’s solution also reduces the amount of computer storage space needed by so much that a mall or airport could easily lease out an entirely new store front with the space savings.

If you want to learn more about Ligti and have the chance to meet Daniel, consider attending THINK Accelerate’s Demo Day on June 25, 2015 from 16:00-19:00. Tickets are available here.

Meet IconCrafts!

iconcrafts Eight years ago, the four-member team at IconCrafts started their first icon company, DryIcons. DryIcons became a global player in the production and sale of icons for websites, apps and more. In December last year, after growing the company together for nearly a decade, the team accepted a purchase offer and sold their company.

Left with healthy bank accounts and the tremendous knowledge gained from DryIcons, the team decided to invest their earnings and energy into building a new kind of icon company, IconCrafts.

During their eight years in the icon business, the IconCrafts team recognized that of the tens of thousands of people buying their icons, many were facing the same challenge; icon customization. Changing the colors, shapes and backgrounds on icons was taking their customers’ time and money and required expensive software and, often, a skilled designer.

Today, IconCrafts.com is a place where designers, developers and freelancers can craft their perfect icons without expensive software and years of training. Rather than tell you how great their product is, we will show you:

If you want to learn more about IconCrafts and have the chance to meet the team, consider attending THINK Accelerate’s Demo Day on June 25, 2015 from 16:00-19:00. Tickets are available here.

Meet Proposales!

proposalesOne year ago, Proposales founder Joakim Green was building a sales tool to help golf clubs increase the number of corporate events at their locations. While working with the clubs he realized that the real pain point in the sales process was proposals.

Today, many sales teams send proposals to prospective clients via different tools and in varying formats, from the body of an email to Word documents to PDF attachments. The information sales people include in their proposals is inconsistent and in some cases inaccurate. Keeping track of proposals sent, seen, followed-up on and closed is unorganized and difficult to execute in practice.

By using Proposales, sales people can turn their proposals into sales and gain the ability to create, send and monitor beautiful proposals online. Proposales founder, Joakim is also solving another global problem; as he sees it, many proposals sent today have little to no thought put into structure and aesthetics. With Proposales, Joakim wants to make business proposals more beautiful and efficient.

If you want to learn more about Proposales and have the chance to meet Joakim, consider attending THINK Accelerate’s Demo Day on June 25, 2015 from 16:00-19:00. Tickets are available here.

Meet Overview News!

Overview News

Gustav Ekberg, a talented developer who has worked with data collection for over eight years, founded Overview News with the goal to index the world’s news. To achieve this goal, he enlisted the help of Andreas Krohn, one of Sweden’s foremost experts on APIs, a technical bridge between computer systems.

The news business has faced a harsh path transitioning from traditional print to online and now to mobile.  The lack of innovation in news has made it difficult and time consuming to collect and analyze news data, forcing companies to spend huge sums of money to gather this information or simply avoiding it altogether, hurting their businesses.

Overview News recognized this business pain and decided to build a solution, an API that enables anyone to search for and access relevant articles from thousands of news publications. The Overview News’ API is made available to developers, entrepreneurs and established businesses so they can add news features to existing products or build entirely new services on top of the API.

Currently in private-Beta in Sweden, Overview News has over 25 beta users taking advantage of the API and building powerful new tools leveraging the power of news data.

If you want to learn more about Overview News and have the chance to meet Andreas and Gustav, consider attending THINK Accelerate’s Demo Day on June 25, 2015 from 16:00-19:00. Tickets are available here.
