Motiomera – Making a healthier world

How has the journey with THINK been so far?

We have evolved a lot as a team and our product. We have during the month re-evaluated how we can deliver the most value to our customers, and how to communicate that as good as possible.

The 3 biggest learnings you will take with you from the program?

We had a deep teambuilding session that was important for us, that we would not have had otherwise.
We got helpful insights into the legal side of our product, especially with the ner GDPR rules.
We got an intro to potential customers that we would not have gotten otherwise

What makes you a great team?

We have a different background – from different countries, different cultures and different expertise. But we all care for how we as a team work, and we all focus on giving as much value as efficiently as possible. Making our customers happy is central to all of us.

Demo Day is coming up soon, exciting! What is your vision for the future?

We are focusing on the early trials with customers now, and talking to the right investors. We are super excited that each potential customer we talk to at the moment really gets our product and loves what we are doing, even tho it is fairly complicated.

About Motiomera:

A digital tool giving an organisation a KPI for how well employees are feeling and to revolutionise how to work with employees wellness.

InSajt – Making decisions easy

How has the journey with THINK been so far?

It has been fantastic! I had high expectations and I think the program has delivered more than I was hoping for! Competent mentors and a thriving working and social climate have been key I believe.

The 3 biggest learnings you will take with you from the program?

– Focus on customers
– Don’t be afraid to talk to other people and ask for help.
– It is not that hard if you commit yourself.

What makes you a great team?

The friendship and the collaboration are the key things in our group. We all have individual experiences and that’s great but without being able to be super comfortable and be able to be ourselves, this would be a lot harder.

Demo Day is coming up soon, exciting! What is your vision for the future?

We will be going as often to THINK as long as we have office space. After that, we will rent office space. The most important think to keep our momentum is that we all have a common place to work from.

About inSajt:

InSajt is a company that gives store owners data-driven insight into their businesses. Providing a free and automated solution for analysing trends, patterns and behaviours to all store owners.

Flugtube – Making multi-destination travel simple!

How has the journey with THINK been so far?

In a word, fantastic.
It has given us a platform to focus all our energy on to smaller specific tasks. Think has also provided us with the framework to achieve those tasks.
Despite always having lots of energy for our project, while at Think we have become much more efficient.

The 3 biggest learnings you will take with you from the program?

1) The importance of customer development. Now we are ensuring that we are adapting our build to provide what our customers actually want.
2) Don’t be afraid to ask for help, whatever it may be.
3) Always try to learn from those around you, there are some really smart people.

What makes you a great team?

We all know what tasks we should be focusing on, this gives us distinct roles and individual targets to hit. On balance, we are always happy to ask each other for help on a particular task if its needed. Then at the end of the week, we can all celebrate the small achievements together.
We don’t have egos, we wouldn’t be a team if we didn’t have different strengths. We are quite happy to admit that our teammates are much better suited for certain objectives, however, this does not mean that are core competencies aren’t inline with one another.

Importantly, the team as a whole are big dreamers, and while we understand the importance of taking small steps, our end goal is shared.

Demo Day is coming up soon, exciting! What is your vision for the future?

Our next major milestone is to start our paid marketing campaign, we have been gearing up for it for a while and are just finalising a few things with the product which aren’t quite at a level we want them to be yet.
This will take us from essentially being at an MVP stage to a fully fledged business, for the time being, we will focus on this, and it will be perfectly suited to attract the travellers for next summer.
We will establish ourselves in Sweden and the UK for the next 12 months to collect our own data on travel habits and then look to expand into other European markets.
We also have some partnerships lined up that flugtube will provide the travel package to, this will give our brand a lot of good exposure, allowing us to expand leveraging our good will on top of capital input.

About Flugtube:

Flugtube is a web-based platform poised to bridge the gap between premium and self-service travel booking and itinerary creation.

Our customers have the freedom to create any trip regardless of its complexity without worrying about working out any of the logistics.

Flugtube removes the need for an expensive travel agent fee and saves time for our user.

As we like to say, simplifying multi-destination travel.

Hoofstep – Intelligent Horse Care

How has the journey with THINK been so far?

It has been contentious, and an energy kick, that helped us consolidate our efforts more effectively.

The 3 biggest learnings you will take with you from the program?

Efficient communication, a presentation regarding our business.
More complex advanced negotiation techniques
(Not to lose) the customer traction aligned with the overall process.

What makes you a great team?

It is our individual experiences, we all complement each other with high skills and experience from previous start-ups, exits, professional experience tightly connected to the current business. We cover the whole range from tech to market with business insights/development, at the same time, we all have built and run companies with employees at international level. But above all, we are friends and business colleagues since over 20 years back. Did we mention that we know our customer and current market inside out?

Demo Day is coming up soon, exciting! What is your vision for the future?

We have a long-term plan that was already set before Think Accelerator that we will persist to follow. We have endurance and are well familiar with the process in front of us. We will continue to keep our discipline of one-week sprints where we set goals and then follow-up/evaluate the results. In general, our short-term step forward is to continue to establish the product on the Swedish market, seek suitable partners (investors) that fit our business and further develop features and customer benefits in the product’s services. However, our long-term plan, of course, includes going international. Our vision is to improve the general well-being of horses, cutting unnecessary costs due to lacking supervision as well as spare horse owner emotional agony. The horse can’t talk or make a phone call if it is in need, our device gives the horse a voice.

About Hoofstep:

Using Artificial Intelligence for instant knowledge of the horse’s health, state, movement & behaviour. Providing best practice of horse management. Next step livestock. Using big data for global research regarding equine/livestock health and behaviour, a community for best practise animal care.

You++ is comprised of a Dutch and German duo who met while studying entrepreneurship at Lund University. The team has been active in the startup scene during their short time in Sweden, from being a part of Venture Lab in Lund to THINK Accelerate.

You++ is a web-based education platform for kids aged 9 to 14. The platform enables learning to program code through interactive, self-paced coding courses. Unlike other coding platforms, You++ isn’t looking for programming to have its own spot in the curriculum, rather they want to integrate programming skills into the content from core curriculum subjects like Math, Science and English.

Why should schools use coding or programming as a means to teach core curriculum subjects? Today, students working on a math assignment often complete the assignment, hand it in to the teacher and the next day, or several days later, they learn how they performed. With You++, students get an immediate feedback loop, that helps them correct their mistakes and learn on the spot, rather than a few days later when the assignment is no longer relevant.

You++ helps kids learn at their own pace, and also prepares them for a future where technological jobs will be one of the primary employment areas in high-skill based countries like Sweden.

Come check out You++ at our Demo Day on November 26 at Oxhallen in Helsingborg. The event is free and open to everyone.

Keep 100% of your startup!

THINK Accelerate

Most entrepreneurs applying to THINK’s accelerator program own 100% of their startup. We believe it’s important they keep ownership in the very early stages, which is part of the reason why we don’t ask for any equity from our participants.

We also believe startups should bootstrap for as long as possible; just because you can raise money doesn’t mean you should. In our experience, the lessons entrepreneurs learn while bootstrapping serves them well once they do raise capital. Plus, traction will get you a higher valuation once investors come calling.

It’s important to note that we do not view giving away equity as a bad thing. In fact, if you want to attract the highest quality talent and best investors you will have to be open to sharing equity (strategically, of course!).

At THINK, we assist you in building a great product, finding traction, and when you’re ready, raising capital to help you scale. With us, your startup will grow while you keep 100% ownership of your company.

100% funding success rate!

THINK Demo Day, Spring 2015

THINK Demo Day, Spring 2015

Just a few weeks ago we announced at our Spring Demo Day that THINK has a 100% funding success rate. What does that mean? It means that of the 31 startups that have been through our incubator program, all of those who actively sought investment received the investment they needed.

At THINK, our mission is to build a community around entrepreneurs in order to help them grow their startup on a global scale. One part of that mission is making the right introductions, to the right investors, at the right times. Whether your startup is currently in our accelerator or you’re a graduate, THINK is there to help you get connected and get funded.

If you’re considering applying to our full-time accelerator, please do so. If you’re not sure yet, try out our web-based pre-accelerator program during a few weeks in August. In the THINK Summer Bootcamp we’ll help you get your idea off the ground and get you one step closer to funding your dream.

Sign up for the Summer Bootcamp here!

Why we launched a pre-accelerator

4 Benefits of Think Summer Bootcamp

Since announcing that we will be running a pre-accelerator program this August, in the form of a web-based Summer Bootcamp, we’ve been asked many times about the reasons behind it. Though there were many factors we took into consideration, one of the main purposes is to help people take their ideas and turn them into reality.

Our job at THINK gives us the opportunity to meet tons of incredible people, some are already involved in the startup community as entrepreneurs, mentors or investors but quite a few others are just starting to get their hands dirty. Many of the people who are wanting to get involved have great ideas for a startup, they just haven’t taken the plunge yet. And, since we know from personal experience how hard that first step into entrepreneurship can be, we want to make it a bit easier to take that step – this is how the Summer Bootcamp was born!

Over a few weeks in August, we will work with dozens of entrepreneurs or soon-to-be-entrepreneurs; we will work together to take an idea and turn it into an early prototype that has been tested in the market. By the end of the Summer Bootcamp, you’re in the startup community and you’re an important part of the THINK network. Most importantly, you’ve gotten your idea off the ground.

Find out more about the THINK Summer Bootcamp here. We can’t wait to start!
